Scot Schmidt, a trailblazing freeskier renowned for his fearless cliff jumps into powdery slopes at speeds exceeding 80 km/h, partnered with The North Face in 1983. The brand provided him with skiwear to push the boundaries of possibility. Schmidt's penchant for personalization and optimization birthed one of the most revolutionary collections of its time.

Harnessing his imagination, Schmidt conceptualized designs and functionalities previously unseen in the industry. Collaborating with The North Face's design team, his sketches materialized into reality. This season, The North Face unveils Steep Tech RMST—a collection that's sturdier, lighter, and faster, elevating adrenaline levels and safeguarding every adventure.

At the heart of the collection lies the RMST Steep Tech GTX Work Jacket. Crafted from waterproof GORE-TEX material, this jacket features an asymmetrical zipper, adjustable and detachable hood, fully sealed seams, and a multitude of pockets and zippers reminiscent of Schmidt's original Steep Tech designs.
