Kinló: Naomi Osaka’s Newly Launched Skincare Line

The skincare line for people of color.

Global tennis star Naomi Osaka has released her skincare line shortly after announcing she is taking a break from tennis.

The 23-year-old athlete recently expressed discomfort regarding her hot-and-cold emotions toward winning or losing matches, and just as other young athletes have done (namely Simone Biles), Osaka put her mental health at the forefront of her decision.

Osaka has been searching for ways in which to use the platform a career in tennis has provided her with, and skincare seems to have clicked with her passion to help others in her community.

“I’m so excited to share Kinló with you! I founded Kinló (a functional skin care line for people with melanated skin) to address a public health need around skin cancer prevention within our POC communities,” said Osaka in an Instagram post. “Tennis can be challenging at times, but it has given me this platform which I am so grateful for. It allows me to help others in ways I wouldn’t have imagined otherwise. Hope you like it!”

The skincare line is made with melanated people in mind, but suits all skin tones. It includes essentials such as the Golden Rays Sunscreen SPF 50 for daily wear, Hydrating Golden Mist for soothing the skin after direct sun exposure, and Hydrating Eye Cream for nightly application. All products are reasonably priced, and bundle deals are offered for saving money.
