Miu Miu Drop Capsule Tiger Tees for New Lunar Year
Taking inspiration from iconic animated big cats, Miu Miu are making for a colorful and quirky 2022
French fashion house Miu Miu has released a capsule collection of printed Tiger graphic t-shirts, to celebrate the Year of the Tiger on the Chinese Zodiac calendar.
Alongside labels like Gucci, Balenciaga and even Levi's, the imagery behind 2022's Lunar New Year appears to have taken the world of fashion by storm. A Chinese tradition spanning 3,500 years of history, its associated with leaving the past behind and exorcising the spirits of ancestors. After the a turbulent 2021, perhaps the industry has decided to take a page from its book.
The collection features some nostalgic animated favorites, including Tigger from Winnie the Pooh, appearing on a vibrant red and white tee. The tees are styles with matching collared shirts underneath that accentuate the bold colors and goofiness of the range. Other iconic characters features include Disney's Tillie Tiger, Tiger Mask and Tiger Girl.
Through the use of different characters, Miu Miu seems to be encouraging fans to express their inner tiger, in all shapes and forms. The French brand gain points for uniqueness, quintessential cuteness and releasing a collection to free not just the tiger within, but the also the inner child-like self.
