‘Bloom’ By Matilda Mann Is As Sweet As Cherry
But the subject it touches upon has a bittersweet taste.
Matilda Mann, ridiculously talented 21-year-old, enchanting, soothing, and romantic poet, comes back with a new single ‘Bloom’, and a music video.
Three months ago, we covered the release of her track ‘Doomsday,’ which, despite its gloomy title, expressed hope, delivered by music. ‘Bloom’ reverses this dynamic. Although the title sounds cheerful, the song touches upon difficulties of fresh, new love. ‘It is about meeting someone too soon. Sometimes you need a little more time, to figure out what you want and how to be alone so that you don’t give too much of yourself away to someone else. Sometimes it can just be a phase, or you feel like you made a mistake,’ explains Matilda. Anyway, she finishes the songs with a hopeful touch, adding, But I think, as time goes on, things like that become more clear it was the right decision.’
Matilda also treats with an aesthetically pleasing, not fully serious, and idyllic music video. Blooming flowers, meadows, and hills will satisfy all fans of boho vibes. Both the video and the song are as sweet as the cherry earrings that Matilda wears in the clip. A perfect bittersweet, happysad summer song and summer image. Lana del Rey would be proud.
