Marilyn Mansion Faces Abuse Allegations
The 52 year old singer faces domestic violence claims from ex-partner Evan Rachel Wood.
Marilyn Manson has been accused of abuse by former partner, actress Evan Rachel Wood. Wood came forward earlier this month with allegations against the singer, to which the Los Angeles County authorities have launched a full investigation.
"The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Special Victims Bureau are investigating allegation(s) of domestic violence involving Mr Brian Warner also known as 'Marilyn Manson,' who works in the music industry," the LA County Sheriff's Department said in a statement. "The incidents occurred between 2009 and 2011 when Mr Warner lived in the city of West Hollywood.”
In previous years, Wood has referenced an abusive ex-partner but was reluctant to name the man. Wood made claims that Manson ‘brainwashed and manipulated’ her into submission since their meeting in 2005 when she was just18. Manson at the time was 36 and they were engaged just five years later.
Wood took to Instagram to make the following statement. “The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson. He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years.”
Manson’s denied the claims from his ex-partner stating, "My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how — and why — others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth."
Since Wood went public with her statement, many others have come forward and all claims are being investigated.
Manson has since been dropped by his record label and management and removed from his regular TV shows, American Gods and Creepshow.
