Lucy & Yak Introduce Limited Edition Patterns To Their Dungaree Collection

Bring some joy to your wardrobe!

POSTED BY EMMANUELLE GAMMAGE

The UK based brand is well-known for its colourful and whacky designs, especially their cotton dungarees.

Founders Chris Renwick and Lucy Greenwood are on a mission to end fast-fashion by improving the social and environmental impact their brand has on the world which makes their dungarees even more fabulous.

Lucy & Yak was born when Chris and Lucy quit their jobs to travel the world. They began selling vintage clothing in an old van and when they realised they had a knack for fashion, began searching for a manufacturer to bring their ideas to life, and so they ended up in India. From then, they made 30 pairs of dungarees and sold them on Depop: within hours they had sold out. Now they have a store in Brighton, UK and customers all around the world that love their beautiful ethical clothing.

Their unisex dungarees are made from organic cotton and come in a large range of sizes that cater for all. Lucy & Yak strive for diversity so their dungarees are modelled in people of all sizes and shapes. Each dungaree comes in one standard design with adjustable tie straps, three front pockets and a tapered leg: practical and pretty.

The limited edition Maisy Dunagree comes in a black and off-white gingham and floral print: two contrasting patterns that create a completely unique retro inspired design.

The Flora dungaree is printed in a bright array of pink, pale blue, green and mustard flowers illustrated by Hayley, owner of Aint She Retro.

Lastly, for a more modern feel they’ve designed a pink dungaree that celebrates the abstract faces trend. The cotton pink dungarees are printed in a mixture of red faces illustrated by Bodil Jane from Amsterdam whose work “depicts women who are unapologetically themselves”.

These three dungarees will bring ounces of fun to your wardrobe and compliments galore. As soon as you put them on you’ll be sure to feel happier and more confident, which is what fashion is all about: “I hope my patterns make just one person smile” says Hayley.

All three dungarees are priced at $71.
