Love Island Recouples With EBay For A Second Sizzling Rendezvous

The OG secondhand online retailer will sponsor the much-loved reality dating show for the second time after a pre-loved shopping boost.

Although it may be cold and dark outside, our favorite hit reality show, ITV's Love Island, is set to give us a much-needed boost of vitamin C thanks to the UK winter series heating up our screens from the 16th January.

Not only can we not wait for the serious grafting, drama and soppy romance - we’re also looking forward to the killer *yet ethical* looks thanks to the renewed eBay sponsorship for the ninth season.

Summer 2022 saw the first stint of the coupling as the hit show ditched its synonymous fast-fashion labels in a bid to reduce the show's environmental impact. Contestants wore their own clothes as well as secondhand items sourced on eBay, chosen by celebrity stylist Amy Bannerman.

Former contestant Tasha Ghouri also went on to become eBay UK’s first-ever Pre-Loved Ambassador, the first non-fast fashion brand deal to come out of the show.

The affair is set to rekindle for a second series thanks to the boost to pre-loved shopping from the show. Research by ITV found that 53% of viewers who were aware of the partnership bought pre-loved clothes in the past three months. We're so here for it - as not only does secondhand shopping help the environment, it’s also more budget-friendly and allows you to flaunt a timeless unique style.

The upcoming series will additionally feature authenticated secondhand trainers and items from the eBay Imperfects range – AKA new clothes from streetwear brands, including Off-White and North Face, sold for up to 60% off due to defects - *immediately adds to cart*

Apologies if we're ‘out of office’, our eyes may be peeled to our screens …
