Look Chic with the Johanna Oritz 2025 Resort Collection
That taps into her Colombian heritage alongside Western trends.
Speaking at the opening of her first New York flagship at 799 Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side, Colombian Johanna Oritz also debuted her 2025 Resort collection.
For the collection, she shared, “We tried to interpret the feeling of being by the water and ocean [in Colombia] and being colorful, while doing a different version of my Western, with nautical.”
To cater to NYC customers, Oritz revealed new knitwear and leather pieces that could be paired with her heavier brushed cashmere sweaters come the winter months. Other options included a navy knit set with knotted crochet inserts to keep you warm but looking good.
Alongside incorporating her Colombian heritage, Oritz dabbled with current Western trends - something she has done for years - with silk and cotton piped blouses, cowboy boots, and wide leather belts. Another standout piece was a chocolate suede ensemble with macramé and tassel-embellished knotted neckline also blended in her nautical “sailing boats and ruffles” inspiration.
A recurring motif you may notice is the presence of Nautical knots throughout the collection. Take a look at the knotted palm tree prints on easy linen dresses or within eyelet crochet numbers. Feast your eyes upon the asymmetric straps adoring occasional dresses and a black cutout Pima cotton knit frock for your evening wear desires.
Look chic in flattering botanical dresses. Choose a fluid, green-and-white large-scale palm print number with colorful bell sleeves, or silk maxidresses with contrasting print paneling. If you want to dress upwards, pick between monochrome draped silk gowns with billowing trains to black-and-white maxis and minis adorned with hand-beaded and hand-sequined embellishments.
It’s time to upgrade your wardrobe. Is there a better way than with Johanna Oritz?
