Longchamp Collaborates With Parisian Street Artist André
Expect colorful handbags and graffiti style designs.
Iconic French fashion house Longchamp has announced a new collaboration with playful Parisian street artist André Saravia. The collection features, amongst other items, colorful editions of Longchamp’s timeless Le Pilage handbag, sprayed with Saravia’s signature Mr A character and a new Mrs A character.
‘The designs are typical André: full of energy, poetry and positivity’ says Longchamp’s creative director, Sophie Delafontaine. Such themes are reflected in all Saraiva’s work, which champions bright colors and cartoonlike characters.
André’s art is an archetypal feature of modern Parisian life, and his work a defining element of the city’s streets, fusing his unique creativity with the French capital’s cultural heritage.
Now a globally recognized Parisian with a string of entrepreneurial and creative ventures to his name, by collaborating with Longchamp André makes an inter-generational statement of French culture.
The Longchamp X André collection will be available worldwide at www.longchamp.com from April 26th.
