Dua Lipa’s Live From Mexico Film Just Made Me Want To Go To A Stadium Show Again

The electric finale of her Radical Optimism Tour

POSTED BY ANISSA GALVANI

I watched clips from Dua Lipa’s new Live From Mexico concert film and immediately understood why everyone loved it.

The show was recorded during her sold-out Radical Optimism Tour shows in Mexico City and is streaming for free on YouTube, which still feels surprisingly generous for a concert film this big. Ehm, Taylor.

The Styling Alone Is Worth Watching

One thing Dua always gets right is tour wardrobe. Even in tiny clips, every look feels sleek, shiny, and somehow effortless while performing in front of thousands of people.

I’m so obsessed with the metallic bodysuits, oversized faux fur layers, and all the crystal detailing throughout the show. The styling direction feels very futuristic pop star without looking overly theatrical. It’s polished, but still fun.

The wardrobe feels way more confident and elevated compared to earlier eras.

The Mexico Crowd Fully Changed The Energy Of The Show

I think part of why the film works so well is the crowd itself. Everyone sounds completely unhinged in the best way possible.

There’s this huge warmth to the performances because you can tell Dua is genuinely emotional about the end of the tour. In the trailer she even calls it “the most beautiful and fulfilling experience” of her career.

The film also includes her duet with Maná’s Fher Olvera performing “Oye Mi Amor,” which apparently turned the entire stadium into one giant singalong.

I Feel Like Dua Has Fully Become A Stadium Artist Now

Watching clips from this tour compared to her older performances is kind of wild. She looks so much more relaxed onstage now.

Much of it about how fun she is to watch live and how much her stage presence has evolved over the last few years.

I think that’s why this concert film is hitting so hard. It feels like watching someone fully settle into being a global pop star in real time.
