Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are Engaged (Again)
‘Bennifer’ have rekindled their engagement 18 years after their cancelled wedding.
One of the most iconic celebrity romances of the early 2000s was rekindled last year when Jennifer Lopez took to Instagram on her 52nd birthday to confirm that her and former flame Ben Affleck were back together. This took the internet by storm as throwbacks of the couple dominated Instagram and Twitter feeds as the 2000s revival trend was already in full swing and this only propelled this movement.
On Saturday April 9th Lopez took to Instagram to share a video announcing an ‘exciting and special story’ on her website OnTheJLO.com which she describes as her ‘inner circle’. She also shared this video on Twitter where she not so subtly added the diamond ring emoji to her username hinting again towards the engagement announcement. It was then by signing up to her website’s mailing list that fans received the news of her and Affleck’s engagement, which comes 18 years after their first cancelled nuptials.
