Introducing The Burberry X Vivienne Westwood Collaboration

A quintessentially British collection.

POSTED BY HANNAH MASSEY

Two iconic British brands, Burberry and Vivienne Westwood have unveiled their limited-edition collection. Celebrating the British heritage of both iconic brands the campaign, shot by David Sims, will feature many known faces from Kate Moss and Sistren to Vivienne Westwood herself.

Announced in July, the collection is inspired by the 1970s punk scene that the Vivienne Westwood brand has become synonymous with (would you expect anything less from the Queen of punk?). Only this collaboration sees Westwood’s iconic collections reissued in Burberry’s classic check print.

Made up of double-breasted jackets, a leather-buckled mini kilt, platformed boots, and a wool beret with slogan pins, the collaboration fuses together pinnacle fashion movements in British history.

As well as being known for her brand, Westwood is a keen environmental activist and the collaboration will be supporting UK based charity, Cool Earth, who are dedicated to ending deforestation and preventing climate change. The oversized T-shirt in the collection reads “Cool Earth has a plan to save the rainforest” in Westwood’s handwriting as a sign of dedication to the charity.

The collection is available to buy now from Burberry.com with prices starting from $70.
