Hocus Pocus 2: Sanderson Sisters Return In New Trailer
The Sanderson Sisters are on the hunt this Fall.
Disney+ released the official teaser trailer for Hocus Pocus 2 on Tuesday.
Winifred (Bette Midler), Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker), and Mary Sanderson (Kathy Najimy) will be making their return to Salem. The trailer teases their return to the historical Massachusetts town, with a nod to them delving into a musical spell.
The original film, Hocus Pocus, came out in 1993. It told the story of the Sanderson sisters, three witches from Salem. The sisters were resurrected 300 years after their execution when the virgin Max Dennison (Omri Katz) lit the black flame candle.
Max, his sister Dani (Thora Birch), and his new school crush Allison (Vinessa Shaw) faced off and defeated the witches with the help of the cursed feline Thackery Binx (Sean Murray) and the undead Billy Butcherson (Doug Jones). Jones is said to reprise his role. While the original film was directed by Kenny Ortega, Anne Fletcher directed the sequel.
The trailer kicks off back in Salem with the Sanderson sisters facing off against two new characters that resurrected them. Becca (Whitney Peak) and Izzy (Belissa Escobedo) appear to take a trip to the cemetery with the black flame candle. Peak’s character is teased to have magical inclinations that come to fruition on her 16th birthday.
The Sanderson sisters return to wreak havoc on the children of Salem Sept. 30 on Disney+.
