Here are some of our favorite hair and make-up looks from this year's Emmy Awards.

Now that the MET Gala is over, here we are once again, merely days after, watching our favorite stars walk on the red carpet. And while some do watch the Emmys purely for the actual awards, there are surely a lot of us who love it because it's another chance to see gorgeous outfits, perfect make-up and get some hair-inspo for the few events we actually do attend.

And whether you're looking for some inspiration for your future looks or just want to see what celebrity make-up artists have come up with for this event, we have created a list of some of the most beautiful looks from the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards.

Tracee Ellis Ross

We can't start the list with anyone else other than the multiple-nominee Tracee Ellis Ross, who's no stranger to walking the red carpet at awards events. For the 73rd edition of the Emmys, the star showed up with a delicate, yet sultry look with a nude lip that perfectly complemented her sexy, one-shoulder red dress. Her hair was styled in her signature voluminous Afro, keeping her usual mix of natural and glam.

Michaela Coel

Not only did the Ghanaian-British artist win an Emmy for her series I May Destroy You, but she also won the admiration of many for her bold look! And while she kept her hair short and simple, her make-up was enough to attract everyone's attention, with bright yellow eyeshadow and thick black eyeliner that matched her yellow two-piece.

Anya Taylor-Joy

The Queen's Gambit star was one of the most striking looks at this year's event, with an Old Hollywood-inspired make-up and an intricate, crown-like updo. Her make-up artist, Georgie Eisdell, mentioned that she wanted to keep her eyes simple, but 'chose a bright red lip which perfectly complemented her yellow opera coat and Tiffany’s jewels.'

Emma Corrin

The actress's look was one of the most surprising of the night, and while her glowy and natural make-up would not normally make much of a statement, this time it managed to do just that! With her face delicate and her hair hidden under a beige-yellow cap, Corrin's creative look was definitely a sight for sore eyes!

Yara Shahidi

The Black-ish star was a refreshing appearance at the Emmys, wearing a gorgeous green dress and a bright, matching eyeshadow, topped off by long, black eyeliner. Her blushed cheeks and natural lips matched the actress's sleeked back hairstyle, allowing the emerald-green to be the star of the show.

Kerry Washington

Here we go with yet another Hollywood-esque appearance. Washington's slick chignon and her bold red lip came together to form a look that seems right out of an old, glamorous French beauty magazine-and we love to see it!

Kate Winslet

The winning actress matched the Old Hollywood vibe that seemed to be a constant at this year's awards, wearing her hair in her classic elegant updo, with wavy curtain-bangs framing the face. The subtle make-up left room for her natural beauty to shine through, with a natural face and pale lips, and her eyes enhanced by delicate eyeliner. And get this: it was all drugstore! The actress's whole make-up was done with L'Oreal products, making it one of the most 'down-to-earth' looks of the night.
