For years, headbands carried a bit of middle school baggage. They conjured images of tight plastic bands, awkward school photos, and the occasional Blair Waldorf moment. But lately, fashion has quietly rewritten the narrative.

With the return of natural beauty and simplicity, we’ve agreed to leave our hair unstyled. So naturally, our new solution to taming it is a headband, the ultimate shortcut to looking put together.

Miu Miu’s Fall 2026 RTW show in Paris made a statement with something as simple as a headband: stretchy, zig-zag tooth bands that clutched models’ hair, turning a schoolyard staple into a must-have accessory. What used to be reserved for soccer practice and Nickelodeon’s prime has now made it to the runway, changing all of our minds about the humble hairband.
