Bottom Up: HBX Styles Up The Original Ugly Buffalo Sneaker

Toe-to-top '90s.

POSTED BY DEE CUNNING

HBX has dropped its latest editorial and, true to form, it's overflowing with raw streetwear edge. Entitled “Bottom Up,” the shots aren't paying homage to anyone's ass (thank God, we get enough of that from Insta already); rather, they are literally styled from the bottom-up, focusing on the original ugly sneaker, the Buffalo, and Eytys' similar “Angel” silhouette.

The polarizing sneaks are teamed with a range of colorful puffer jackets, crop tops, track pants and more. The Buffalo sneakers come in both high-top and low-top leather iterations with minimal branding on the tongue, lateral side and lace dubrae, sitting atop that signature extra-chunky midsole. The Eytys “Angel” is an arguably more refined version, inspired by '90s trail shoes with a comparatively minimal design and heavy-duty metal lacing hooks.

Flick through all the shots in the gallery above and shop the Buffalo range here and the Eytys “Angel” here.
