Eytys Partied With London's Club Kids In Magaluf For New Book
For generations of young Europeans, a trip to Magaluf has been something like a rite of passage. The infamous Mallorcan resort is a place for groups school friends to escape their parents and engage in excessive partying before going their separate ways. And it’s this spot’s exact reputation that inspired Stockholm-based label Eytys’ new book.
Teaming up with artist duo IB Kamara and Kristin-Lee Moolman, Eytys took a group of London club kids to the Spanish resort that became the home of teenage tourist hedonism and shot a book dubbed “Magaluf!” The resulting images play with themes of norm confrontation and misplacement, and overall, emphasize the infamous beach setting’s banality more than its cheeriness.
Take a look at the book below. The collection is set to launch at the end of April with a first edition of 800. A limited edition of 25 will also be available, which will come complete with a handmade slipcase, archival pigment print, and will be signed and numbered by the artist.
