Hailey Bieber Is Leaving The Clean Girl Aesthetic Behind
And honestly, so am I.
Famous for her ‘glazed donut’ skin, slicked-back hair, and jelly nails, Hailey Bieber is the face of the clean girl aesthetic. Everything about her screams quiet luxury; she’s always rocking minimalist looks while remaining sophisticated and naturally beautiful. The things I would do for her skin!
However, in a recent interview, Hailey made a shocking comment. Calling both matcha and Pilates “overrated,” it is clear that she is finally moving away from the clean girl aesthetic—and so should you (but you can pry matcha from my cold, dead hands).

Maximalism and personal style are both back with a vengeance. I’m so excited to have a feed full of color and unique patterns instead of the dull, boring minimalism of the copy-and-paste clean girl. As someone who views pink and leopard print as neutrals, this really feels like my time to shine!
Beige, cream, gray, and taupe all need to move over for their younger, hotter counterparts: fuchsia, turquoise, coral, and silver. Color in fashion really excites me, and I’m so glad people are moving away from the neutral epidemic and embracing bold colors—especially since it’s just in time for summer. Holiday outfits are becoming everyday outfits—you’ll definitely see me wearing my beaded bag on a casual Friday!

The easiest way to start incorporating bright colors into your wardrobe is with a couple of basic tees—you can’t go wrong with a tee-and-jeans combo. Once you’re comfortable with that, the world really is your oyster: patterned midi skirts, vibrant yoga pants, sequined tops, and so much more to explore and experiment with.
All over my Pinterest at the moment, I’m seeing so many bold colors and patterns layered with different textures; the looks are all so fresh and unique. Some of my personal favorite combos include red with leopard print, pink with zebra print, yellow with polka dots, and blue with stripes. I’m also loving combinations of textures like lace with satin or fur with denim. This is an era where anything goes—and I’m so here for it. My wardrobe is currently an explosion of pink and sequins, very much giving Barbie vibes.

For summer 2026, minimalism is out, maximalism is in—and even the queen of minimalism agrees.
