All The Pieces From GmBH's Fresh SSENSE Drop

Berlin fashion at its best.

POSTED BY DEE CUNNING

What comes to mind when you think of Berlin? Techno, probably. Cultural diversity, definitely. Chilly weather, almost certainly. Berlin-based design collective GmBH does all of these things and more in its Spring/Summer 2018 collection.

The brand's beautifully androgynous Spring/Summer 2018 campaign made the fashion headlines for casting exclusively second-generation immigrants. “We wanted to see brown men and women like ourselves in a campaign like this, something we never saw growing up. But we have no supermodels, or big budget – just our family,” founders Benjamin Alexander Huseby and Serhat Isik told Dazed.

The pieces play with color and texture: jersey, nylon and vinyl in a contrasting color palette of camel, white, electric blue and black. There's structural paneled anoraks and long-sleeve tees, floaty track pants and biker-style pants. It's cozy techno futurism with a nod to your nana's favorite hiking jacket, essentially.
