Swarovski celebrated its storied influence on the fashion industry with the grand unveiling of its "Masters of Light: From Vienna to Milan" exhibition at the historic Palazzo Citterio during Milan Fashion Week's Menswear Spring/Summer 2025. The event was a confluence of art, history, and fashion, spotlighting Swarovski's transformative role from its roots in Vienna to its current prominence in Milan.

Hosted by Swarovski's CEO Alexis Nasard and Global Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert, along with curator Alexander Fury and Angelo Crespi, General Director of the Pinacoteca di Brera, the exhibition opening transformed into a star-studded affair. Celebrities including Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Alba, and Laetitia Casta mingled with fashion luminaries and influencers, enjoying an electrifying DJ set by Carlita in the palazzo’s elegant courtyard.

The exhibition is a homage to Swarovski's extensive history with fashion, featuring stunning pieces ranging from intricate vintage garments to contemporary designs.

It highlights the brand's collaborations with illustrious designers, displaying iconic pieces like the Alexander McQueen designs that captivated actress Laura Harrier. "I loved to see all the vintage fashion pieces," Harrier shared at the event, reflecting on the profound impact of these historical garments.

Actress Madelaine Petsch, known for her role in "Riverdale", expressed her admiration for a piece that caught her eye - a dreamy Vivienne Westwood corset. "There’s this amazing Vivienne Westwood corset that is the corset of my dreams. It’s so beautiful,” Petsch enthused, emphasizing the emotional connection fans and fashion aficionados often feel towards such iconic pieces.

The event wasn't just about looking back; it also served as a platform for discussing future engagements and continued enthusiasm for the brand. Barbie Ferreira, former "Euphoria" actress, noted her exclusive attendance was due to her affinity for Swarovski. "I’m not attending any shows, I’m just here with my Swarovski friends," she stated, underscoring the personal connections that the brand fosters with its devotees.

“Masters of Light: From Vienna to Milan” not only revisits the sparkling past of Swarovski but also casts a light on its future directions in the world of high fashion. The exhibition is open for viewing at Palazzo Citterio, promising visitors a dazzling journey through the crystal-laden history of one of the most iconic names in luxury and fashion.
