Gigi Hadid Collaborates With Frankies Bikinis For “Americana” Collection
It’s giving cottagecore.
With summer right around the corner, it is time to start getting your swimsuit lineup ready for those vacation, beach and poolside days ahead. Frankies Bikinis announced its celebrity collaboration with Gigi Hadid on April 25 and we could not be more excited for this cottage-core-inspired release.
Gigi worked with her longtime friend, founder and creative director of Frankies Bikinis, Francesca Aiello to design this collection. The “Americana” collection was heavily inspired by Gigi’s farming roots in her family’s Pennsylvania home.
“Gigi is someone that is so special and so inspiring to me,” Aiello said in an official statement. “She is creative, hard-working, kind, and loving, and combining those incredible personality traits with our deep-rooted friendship is what really made this collection not only fun to create together but also to shoot together.”
Hadid added, “We designed this collection with so much love, and I believe that really shines through in the details within the fabrics, prints, and styles we chose to use. Both Frank and I have very social lives but also are big homebodies, and the collection really embodies that side of us.”
There is a range of feminine and dainty details to choose from in the Gigi Hadid x Frankies Bikinis collaboration. The collection has many Americana-inspired details such as bows, ruffles, floral prints, plaid prints and pretty pastels. The toile print has art of a tree stump with “G + F” to symbolize Gigi and Francescas friendship. The swimwear also includes a pattern of a baby and mother deer to represent Gigi’s joy of being a mother to Khai. Does it get any cuter than that?
The collection embodies romantic color patterns such as warm yellows and pastel blues – the styles includes bikinis and one-piece swimsuits with a range of cover-up options. The loungewear is just as dreamy, with options including bodysuits, cardigans, headscarves and hats to add to your summer wardrobe.
The Gigi Hadid x Frankies Bikinis collection will exclusively be available on www.frankiesbikinis.com. The first drop of the will be released on May 11 with 56 styles of swimwear and loungewear to choose from. A second drop will follow on June 2 with an additional 41 styles. It is going to be a cottage-core summer this season and we can’t wait for it!
