Gestuz SS26: Speed, Style, And The Beauty Of Slowing Down
Discover Gestuz's SS26 collection, "The Human Race," at CPHFW.
On Paper Island, inside the raw, unfinished space of Number 71, Gestuz unveiled its SS26 collection—a love letter to vintage motorsport reimagined for modern wearers. The show’s title, The Human Race, set the tone: direct, intentional, and infused with energy.
From Formula One to Fashion Week
Drawing inspiration from the golden era of Formula One, creative director Sanne Sehested brought elements of the racetrack into the wardrobe. Think worn-in leather with lived-in charm, heavyweight denim with a utilitarian edge, and references to vintage engines hidden in the details. Models walked through an installation of white, hand-sprayed tires glowing under the lights—a nod to speed, precision, and the beauty found when we take the time to see things differently.
Style for Every Body
Beyond the clothes, the casting stood out. Gestuz made a clear statement by showing a lineup of models that reflected diversity in body shape, age, and identity—offering a runway that felt relatable and grounded. These were clothes made for people we can actually see ourselves in, proving that high fashion doesn’t have to be exclusive to one type of body.
Power Meets Poise
The collection balanced the rush of motor racing with moments of pause. Rugged leathers and structured denim were offset by softer tailoring and relaxed silhouettes, creating looks that could shift seamlessly from trackside to city streets.
With The Human Race, Gestuz reminded us that style is not just about moving fast—it’s also about knowing when to slow down and really see the world, and each other, as we are.
