Gucci just dropped “Generation Gucci,” and you can feel the shift immediately. It’s sharper, a little sleazy, a little nostalgic, and very aware of its own history without getting stuck in it.

Shot by Demna himself, the campaign unfolds like a stripped-back lookbook. Eighty-four images, one look at a time, no distractions, just silhouettes doing the talking.

It pulls heavily from the house archive, especially that late ‘90s Tom Ford energy, but instead of copying it, it tightens it. Tailored suits cut closer, leather worn head-to-toe, sheer layers that feel more intimate than decorative.

Control, Not Nostalgia

What stands out is the restraint. For a brand that’s been through maximalism, chaos, and everything in between, this feels almost surgical.

Less layering. Less noise. More intention.

Underwear as outerwear, fluid gowns, clean lines that sit directly on the body. Even the beauty is consistent. Smokey eyes across the board, like everyone belongs to the same slightly messy night out.

And the casting matters. It’s not just models, it’s a mix of familiar faces and new ones, building that “family” idea Demna’s been pushing since his first Gucci projects. A house, but redefined.

It Feels Like Gucci Is Choosing a Side Again

There’s a clarity here that wasn’t always there before.

“Generation Gucci” isn’t trying to please everyone. It’s picking a mood and committing to it. A little provocative, a little controlled, slightly uncomfortable in a way that makes you look twice.

And that’s probably the point.

Because Gucci doesn’t need to be safe. It needs to be felt.
