Frank Ocean Ditched His Usual Nikes For Glittery All Stars @ FYF Festival
Sparkly shoes somehow just got even better.
At this years FYF Festival Frank Ocean took to the stage in LA for his much anticipated return. After years of cancellations and disappointed fans, Frank Ocean appeared at Exposition Park, following the likes of Björk and Missy Elliot from previous nights.
However, Frank ditched the main stage for his own catwalk and worked the super intimate small stage setup with front row onlookers including A$AP Rocky. His much-awaited set included a rendition of “Close to you”, complete with a live 90’s camcorder film of a phone call between Brad Pitt and Frank projected from onstage.
The highlight of the show had to be Frank's performances of “NIKES” with the whole crowd singing along with lyrics projected on stage through a Hello Kitty Karaoke. But just when we didn’t think we could love Frank any more, he'd only gone and decided to ditch the iconic Nikes for a pair of glittery Converse. Glitter just moved up our list of guilty pleasures.
The über badass JW ANDERSON X CONVERSE release couldn't have been dropped in anymore style. Now there's not much to do but sit back and wait for their eventual public release in Spring 2018.
