Fendi Drops Winter 2021 Capsule

The collection you don't want to miss this winter.

POSTEDBYEMILY BARKHAM

Fendi presents to you its chicest winter yet. With shearling sportswear, printed iconographic knits and oversized coats in bold patterns, the house just dropped its hottest winter capsule to date.

The collection is fluidly feminine with expert tailoring, throwing iconic masculine shapes and structures into a cocktail of psychedelic patterns and velvet trenches. These marble-like prints are reintroduced as an encore to Kim Jones’ Couture debut with a fresh new pallet of rich blues and oranges.

The entire collection speaks of ease of elegance. The draping dresses, oversized shirt jackets and scarf coats are all radiantly effortless, yet chic and easily transferable from runway to sidewalk. The line has a richness and decedent bite to it that only Fendi could achieve with such success.

Standout pieces from the collection are the beige two-piece trouser and sweater set in Fendi monogram. Accompanied with the fur bucket hat, this look is perfect for the city girl trying to keep the heat this winter. The 2021 capsule showcases innovation, the contemporary consumer clearly monopolizing the thoughts of the designer. The reversible mink jacket that it lined with an FF logo presents itself as the new fur essential.

But the piece grabbing all fashion fanatics' attention has to be the oversized coat in its new take on the marble-effect psychedelic rebirth of Jones’ debut. The coat is classically shaped, masculine in features such as lapels and a collared neckline, but oozes femininity in its tailoring. The coat drapes itself over the body beautifully, styled with an FF monogrammed belt round the waist the coat flatters the wearer endlessly. The shape and cut of the garment neither distract from nor allows the print to overpower the piece. It is positively peacock in nature, but wearable all the same.

The Fendi First Bootie is also introduced for the first time ever in velvet, leather and exotic skin, which was originally debuted in the Autumn/Winter 2021 collection.
