Feel Like You’re Dripping In Pearls With Mikimoto’s First Ever Perfume

A gender-inclusive fragrance inspired by pearls and sea breeze.

Heritage jewelry label Mikimoto has arrived in the beauty market with the drop of their first-ever perfume. Dubbed Mikimoto Eau de Parfum, the gender-neutral fragrance “is an olfactory expression of the brand story,” according to the brand’s website.

Reminiscent of a piece of the brand’s quintessential pearl jewelry, elemental beauty is at the forefront of Mikimoto Eau de Parfum; namely its connection to the natural and cultural heritage of Japan. Encased in a minimal and chic bottle designed by industrial designer Lance McGregor, the component is evocative of a pearl within its shell.

Top notes highlight the subtle scent of the cool ocean breeze, blended with fresh notes of citrus: grapefruit, orange bigarade, Sicilian lemon, and bergamot, while middle notes burst through with an exquisite floral bend of iris and magnolia; inspired by Mikimoto’s signature pearls. Sandalwood and royal oud are paired with soft saffron to round off the fragrance, creating a lasting impression of depth and elegance.

You can shop Mikimoto Eau de Parfum on the brand’s website and Scent Beauty for $275.
