Fall 2020 Brings ‘Preppy’ Fashion Trend Back

V-neck sweaters? Count us in!

POSTED BY KATT RODRIGUES

As we enter fall, kids go back to school and the weather starts to get that little bit chillier, it comes naturally to us gals to grab ourselves a basic bitch PSL (pumpkin spiced latte, duh) and embrace fluffy scarves, gloves and coats, dang Autumn/Winter fashion is goood.

So imagine our happiness that the 90’s vibes we’ve had this year are going to be continuing into the colder seasons, as told by the designer gods Dolce & Gabbana, Versace & Dior - preppy fashion is here!

V-neck knitwear, pull up socks, loafers, A-line pleats and pinafores, there are so many different styles and accessories to truly own this trend and make it unique to you. Colour palettes include chocolate browns, muted blues and soft greys, for patterns think bold stripes, check & plaid.

Although the term ‘preppy’ originates from the USA, some good old fashioned British brands absolutely nail this look. After all the U.K. is famous for its private school style influences that seep into the trend such as trench coats, bespoke tailoring and the classic satchel bag.

Make sure you check out the Autumn/Winter collections from the likes of Celine, Burberry, Wales Bonner, NavyGrey, & Daughter and Hades for some back to school inspo!
