Dua Lipa's 'Houdini' Tease
A master of chic trends.
Dua Lipa is a master of making any trend look chic, even the ones that seem impossible to pull off. Remember her fuzzy green dress that looked like a Muppet? Or how she revived the statement necklace? And now, she's rocking a look that breaks so many fashion rules (and common sense) that it somehow works. On Monday, she posted a bunch of photos on her Instagram to hype up her new single "Houdini," which comes out on Nov. 9. The first one was a video that showed her new red hair and some sneak peeks of a photo shoot, but she also gave us a better view of her outfit — and it was a shocker.
She wore a white tank top with blue and red details and a see-through bottom (which she first wore last month when she announced the new song) with white underwear over red stockings and white sling-back kitten heels. In one pic, she bent her leg back to her head and put her arm on her shoe. She held her head in her other hand and looked super sexy. Another pic showed a poster of the album cover that said "Catch me or I go..." and the dates of three "Houdini" launch events in London, LA, and Tokyo. There was also a pic of her getting her makeup done and a selfie in a dressing room. The last one was a screenshot of an X thread from social media star Caucasian James that said, "Being in a Dua Lipa photo dump could change my career." Content creator Connor Wood (aka fibula), replied, "I think about this all the time." Well, congrats guys.
"I’m putting on three surprise launch events for Houdini in London, Los Angeles and Tokyo," Lipa wrote in the caption. "The first one’s going to be in my hometown, London, this Thursday!!! 🫀🫀🫀 I’m going to be invitin`."
