Dream Catwalk: Simone Rocha Fall 2024

Explore Simone Rocha Ready-to-Wear collection.

POSTED BY SIMONA SANTAMARIA

Romance is a prominent phrase for this London Fashion Week, and Simone Rocha made us dream with her Fall/Winter 2024 collection.

This collection, called 'The Wake,' was shown at the medieval church of St Bartholomew-the-Great in Smithfield, and was inspired by Queen Victoria's mourning gowns for the death of her husband Prince Albert.

Delicate translucent dresses, eco-friendly furs, corsets and crystals.  The designer used unusually dark colors, with a delicate thread of melancholy and a hint of romance.

Simone enhanced the models' appearances by placing stuffed lambs in their arms. Therefore, the animal symbolizes the church's protection.

Simone Rocha ends the final chapter of a story she wanted to tell.  The first collection, "The Dress Rehearsal" is followed by "The Procession" (collaboration with Jean Paul Gaultier for the Paris Fashion Week) and "The Wake", which completes the trilogy.

We experienced a fresh Simone Rocha with her Ready-To-Wear Collection, but we also recognized the same delicate style that enchanted the fashion industry.
