Dove Cameron's New Skincare Line Has a Darker Side To The Glow

Indulgent without leaving the science backstage.

Glowy skincare usually arrives dressed in pastel pink, soft beige, or the promise of looking as though you've just returned from a very expensive holiday. Dove Cameron has taken a different route. Her new collaboration with Curology wraps the pursuit of luminous skin in snake imagery, moody colors, and product names that sound more like the titles of a dark-pop album than the contents of a bathroom cabinet.

The result is Ethereal Glow, a four-piece collection launched October 27. Cameron helped shape its identity and the way the products fit into a daily routine, while Curology's dermatology and scientific teams developed the formulas. It's a collaboration built around an appealing contrast: skincare that feels indulgent without leaving the science entirely backstage.

A Little Venom, Plenty of Shine

The collection includes Shed the Day Cleanser, Lethal Glow Moisturizer, Ethereal Primer, and Sugar Venom Lip Treatment. The cleanser is a gel-to-foam formula designed to remove makeup and impurities without leaving skin feeling stripped. The moisturizer uses peptides in a lightweight gel-cream, while the primer combines hydration with a soft-focus finish. The lip treatment brings the glossy, shimmering final touch.

But the packaging is what gives the line its distinctive personality. A snake motif inspired by Cameron's own tattoos appears across the collection, in shades of charcoal, dusty blue, blush, and deep teal. Rather than treating the snake as a symbol of danger, the design connects it to transformation and renewal.

I find that a more interesting visual language than another collection built entirely around the word “clean.” Skincare is an intensely personal category, yet its branding can feel remarkably interchangeable. A strong visual identity gives a routine a sense of character before you even open the bottle.

The Beauty of a Routine That Knows Its Job

There is a practical logic to the four products, too. The collection moves from cleansing to moisturizing, then offers a primer for a smoother-looking base and a lip treatment for high-shine finish. Each product can be used individually, and the line is designed to work alongside Curology's personalized prescription skincare.

That distinction matters. The Ethereal Glow products are non-prescription, so shoppers don't need to subscribe to Curology's treatment service to buy them. The brand's dermatology team developed the formulas, while Cameron helped steer their names, packaging, and overall experience.

I like the idea of beauty products having a clear role without making a routine feel like homework. A cleanser, moisturizer, primer, and lip treatment are familiar categories. The collaboration gives those everyday steps a more expressive wrapper, without pretending that elaborate packaging alone makes a formula effective.

A New Chapter in the Glow Business

Ethereal Glow is the first of three planned Curology and Dove Cameron collections arriving over the next year. The full four-piece set launched at an introductory price of $50, with individual products priced from $12 to $21, exclusively through Curology's website.

The collection's strongest appeal is the tension between its dreamy finish and its darker visual identity. Glow doesn't have to mean delicate, and a daily skincare routine doesn't have to look like everyone else's. Sometimes a little personality is exactly what makes the ordinary ritual feel worth returning to.
