Dancing In Style With The New “Champion Tears” Collection
Champion Tears is an exciting new collection created by Champion in collaboration with Denim Tears.
The American based brand, Champion has released a collection in partnership with Denim Tears. This collection creates an homage to the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater, which is a Black-founded dance company.
Denim Tears founder, Tremaine Emory was quite inspired to create a collection like this. Emory wanted to find ways to continue highlighting Black-American heritage. Which is why this dance company became his muse.
This dance company inspired collection has been named “Champion Tears,” which is a mesh of both the brands’ names.
Sweatshirts, t-shirts, crochet knitwear, sweatsuits are just some of the many pieces included in Champion Tears. There is also a play with all kinds of colors, including a tribute to African culture, by using red, green and black colors.
One of the collection’s highlights involved the use of archived photos from the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater. These photos were placed on the collection’s t-shirts.
The Champion Tears collection is now available as of October 26th. It has been released online on both the Champion and Denim Tears websites.
