Coach Spring 2025: Urban Style Meets Luxury Craftsmanship
A reimagined american classic.
Coach unveiled its Spring 2025 collection in a runway show on the High Line’s Spur, adjacent to its global headquarters. This showcase marked Creative Director Stuart Vevers' latest reinterpretation of American classics through the lens of contemporary self-expression, presenting a redefined notion of luxury focused on personal style and individuality.
Vevers' Spring 2025 collection merges classical tailoring with casual influences drawn from counter-cultural icons of skateboarding, heavy metal, and new wave. American sportswear staples like navy blazers, chinos, and pinstripe suits were deconstructed with exaggerated fits, while '60s-inspired dresses in bright, candy colors were refreshed with shorter, dropped hems. The collection also embraces “re-loving”—artfully transforming end-of-life garments into new pieces. Denim trousers, moto skirts, and aviator jackets crafted from repurposed garments celebrate both Coach’s craft heritage and the intrinsic appeal of clothing with a story. This concept is an extension of Coach’s popular (Re)Loved program, which upcycles and resells vintage Coach pieces with custom touches.
Graphic tees layered under distressed moto jackets paired with stovepipe denim trousers brought a playful take on New York’s rock ‘n’ roll vibe. Some tees featured hand-embroidered phrases, nodding to vintage souvenir styles from the 1940s and a punk-inspired DIY aesthetic. Building on prior collections, the Spring 2025 lineup also introduced fresh takes on Coach staples like the cardigan jacket in upcycled leather and suede, as well as faded tuxedo jackets and pajama-style pants for a lived-in look.
In accessories, Coach unveiled the Chain Tabby 26, a new iteration of its iconic Tabby bag. This version, crafted in soft-grain leather with a metal chain strap, brings a fresh touch to Coach’s leathercraft legacy. The Spring collection also showcased new iterations of the Frame bag in oversized and Portfolio shapes, including top-handle designs that playfully use the Frame hardware first designed for Coach by Bonnie Cashin in the 1960s. These unique bags took shape in whimsical designs like hearts, stars, and even dinosaur silhouettes, reflecting Vevers’ approach to playful luxury.
The runway also introduced Coach’s Soho Sneaker, inspired by late '80s and early '90s cross-training sneakers. Distressed and adorned with resin charms like taxi cabs and cassette tapes, the sneaker was crafted with regenerative leather, reinforcing Coach’s commitment to sustainability across categories. “My vision for Spring was to show real clothes in a real, relevant, urban environment,” Vevers shared. “We’re redesigning these clothes with the values of a new generation in mind.”
Reflecting New York City’s energy, the show’s location on the High Line created an immersive experience. Guests took in the collection with views of the iconic urban landscape that helped inspire it. The presentation’s dynamic visuals included moving portraits and hand-drawn elements, enhancing the collection’s urban theme. Stars of Coach’s “Unlock Your Courage” campaign, including Charles Melton, Nazha, Storm Reid, Jayson Tatum, and Youngji Lee, were among the special guests.
A selection of Spring 2025 pieces, including the Chain Tabby and Soho Sneaker, is already available online and at Coach’s Soho and Fifth Avenue locations, offering a preview of the collection’s fresh take on timeless style.
