Chapel Of Love On The Runway
Hannah Ruth Zander showcases her latest collection.
This spring Hannah Ruth Zander brought us another dreamy collection. Showing her designs at the SLC Fashion Show, the marble building was the perfect setting for the rococo style designs.
The collection was created using upcycled wedding dresses and the results are a range of bridal styles from relatively traditional to throwing the rulebook out completely. All dresses stay within a theme that we would define as valentines, with hearts, reds, and pinks everywhere.
The makeup was also a notable feature of the show. The artists, Amy Jo and Elena Khaliullin, created an ever popular doll look with perfect red lips on many of the models and blush placed to maximise the roundness of the cheeks. A level of unworldliness was also created with white eyeshadow and mascara. This definitely added to the unhuman quality of the makeup and felt very referential to Pat McGrath's iconic doll makeup from the Maison Margiela Couture Spring/Summer 2024 runway show
