Lexie Carroll, a seventeen-year-old London-based artist, is not only a singer and songwriter but also, she creates all her artwork and lyric videos herself. The newest example of her mega talent, a song ‘Racing Raindrops’ and an accompanying lyric video have just been released.

The single demonstrates a startling level of maturity that many people who are way older than Lexie wouldn’t be capable of. Reflecting upon the fragility of modern life, she celebrates childhood friendship but simultaneously, she notes how time and relationships inevitably move and change.

‘It’s quite bittersweet as although there’s distance and you don’t see each other the way you used to, it’s comforting knowing that they’re still there and the real closeness never changes,’ Lexie shares.

While her gentle, tender vocal indeed sounds like a titular raindrop, her unquestionable writing talent proves that touching, mesmerizing songs can step beyond the subject of romantic love.
