Cardi B Is Being Sued For Over A Million Dollars

And it’s not because she looked just too damn good at the Met Gala.

It’s only two months since Cardi B successfully sued celebrity blogger, Latasha K, on grounds of defamation, yet the rapper now finds herself being countersued.

It has been reported in documents obtained by The Blast, that Latasha is now pursuing in excess of $1 million worth of damages after claiming that Ms. B lied about her on social media. The claimant went on to say that Cardi’s actions even caused fans of the Invasion of Privacy star to pose death threats against her.

The blogger and owner of the unWinewithTashaK account has accused Cardi’s online statements about her of causing her to incur significant financial losses, in the form of lost subscribers and advertising opportunities. As well as this, Latasha has claimed that she has suffered severe emotional distress whilst pregnant as a direct result of Cardi’s actions.

It was back in March that Cardi B sued Latasha alongside fellow vlogger, Starmarie Ebony Jones after the pair allegedly made disparaging comments about the rapper and her family. Cardi’s own claims spanned a period of over 14 months, during which time it is reported that the bloggers continually defamed the rapper, even suggesting that Cardi B and Offset’s daughter suffered from “intellectual disabilities” as a result of the rapper’s substance misuse whilst pregnant.

Not one to hold back, the ‘Money’ singer responded to these remarks by saying in no indefinite terms "I'm gonna sue you for defamation of character because I let that bitch play and talk shit about me, but when you talk shit about my daughter ..." she said on Instagram Live. "Bitch you a whole fucking weirdo. A bitch that's 40 years old and pregnant too, and then all you can do is talk shit about me, ho. Fuck outta here."

In her countersuit, however, Latasha’s lawyer stated that "Cardi B began to publicly defame Ms. Kebe, referring to her as ‘this blogger lady,' by stating that Ms. Kebe makes up fake stories; harasses all of Cardi B’s friends; constantly stalks Cardi B; falsely claims that she has legitimate sources giving her information about Cardi B; uses Cardi B’s name for ‘click bait’; and many other false accusations."

Not known for taking things lightly, although Cardi is yet to publically respond to these developments, it’s likely that this won’t be the last you will hear on the matter.
