5 Brands Giving Back This International Women's Day

The labels that are making a difference.

POSTED BY ALEXIA EVANS

March 8th could quite possibly be one of our favorites. Celebrating women all around the globe. It’s a day we should all feel united in the sisterhood that is, the female race. This year is no different, we rejoice in all that women have achieved so far, as well as looking to the future. While we all know the tremendous power and influence females hold today, there is still work to be done to reach complete equality.

To raise awareness regarding this, many retailers are collabing with charities and running initiatives to empower women. Below are some of our favorites that we love.

CJW

Owned by Christina J. Wang, CJW is an accessories brand making a difference. This year they have teamed up with ‘Girl Rising’, an organization that aims to improve access to education for girls around the world. The designer will donate 100% of profits from the collection ‘History, She Wrote’, which consists of matching pajamas to an iPhone case.

Once again Anthropologie are inspiring us through their continued work with charities. Collabing with ‘She’s the First’, the clothing company will donate one percent of all dress purchases made during March. The charity works to ensure girls voices are heard in society in every part of the world.

Papier

Stationary company Papier are known for their vibrant notebooks and now they’ve been made even more colorful by knowing that a purchase equals a donation for ‘Gurls Talk’. Founded by activist and model Adwoa Aboah, the community-led organization aims to improve female mental health. If you’re looking new space to take notes and stay organized, take a look at their limited collection.
