This year, many IWD events can’t take place in person- but never fear, we’ve gathered our top picks of livestreams to mark the occasion.

United Nations Observance of International Women’s Day 2021
When: Monday March 8th 10am - 12:30pm EST
This year, the United Nations’ theme for International Women’s Day is “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a Covid-19 world.” The line-up will focus on how we can contribute to a fairer world during our recovery from the pandemic. Guests include H.E. Elizabeth Gómez Alcorta, Minister of Women, Gender and Diversity of Argentina, and Samaya Faruqi, a member of the Afgan Girls Robotic Team. Actress Eva Longoria will also be making an appearance.

International Women’s Day- Our Role Models
When: Monday March 8th 14:00 – 15:30 GMT
The School of Politics at King’s College London are hosting a celebration for female role models. Participants can share why they’ve chosen their role models, and the impact they’ve had on their lives. You can also invite your role model to the event. And if that wasn’t exciting enough, there are prize giveaways for the best shared stories!

International Women's Day: What will it take to close the gap?
When: Wednesday March 10th 11:00am – 12:00pm GMT
For a look into one of the most prominent issues of gender inequality, The 30% Club, REBA and Preppy have collaborated to present a virtual panel on women’s financial wellbeing. The panel will feature Baroness Mary Goudie, a member of the British House of Lords and a global campaigner for women and children’s rights, and Leena Nair, the first female, first Asian and youngest ever CHRO of Unileaver.

Taking inspiration from the theme of International Women’s Day 2021, #ChooseToChallenge, this event focuses on how women can celebrate their achievements and center themselves in their lives. Featured speakers are Leisha McGrath, Chartered Work and Organizational Psychologist that supports employees in living authentically, and Margaret Masterson, an Executive Coach and HR Consultant that pushes clients to achieve their professional and personal goals.
