Bottega Veneta Collaborates With New Image Makers For Their Fall/Winter Campaign
And the film images turned out amazing.
This Fall/Winter season is the first for Bottega Veneta’s new creative director, Matthieu Blazy, but he didn’t work on this campaign alone. “Bottega Venata was created by a collective of artisans. This is the history…”. Blazy enlisted the help of cross-generational models as well as new image-makers to create the campaign. The result: a campaign showcasing how fashion can become new when seen through a different viewpoints.
Upon first glance, the Bottega Veneta seems like a basic Fall/Winter collection. It has the season’s staples: sweaters, tailored jackets and trousers, mules, and ankle boots. But through the campaign, it is clear that while the collection is made of basics, it is far from basic. The film photos, especially those from backstage at the show, capture the clothing in action and bring a new life to them.
The clothes can be seen up close and personal, crosshatching and cable knit detailing gets to take center stage. Pieces get to be seen in movement, under green, illuminating lights, in front of industrial buildings. Sweaters and skirts pair together for kooky yet cohesive outfits. Printed and sheer dresses simply shine under the lights. The images make for a sophisticated yet vocal collection.
The photos and the collection itself prove that Blazy is carrying on the chic and put-together look that Bottega Veneta is known for, while still bringing in new and innovative perspectives. This new Fall/Winter collection is up on Bottega Veneta's website.
