Wood Wood Enlists Help From Abstract Artist Tal R For Their Fall Collection

You’ve never seen a bomber jacket like their’s before.

How much wool would Wood Wood use if Wood Wood could use wool? The answer is: a lot. But Wood Wood doesn’t just use typical wool. The Copenhagen-based brand is known for making everyday wear—whether it be sportswear, streetwear, or winter wear—high quality and stylish. And for this upcoming Fall/Winter season, Wood Wood teamed up with Danish abstract artist Tal R to create prints and embroidery. Tal R’s art captures everyday life in new and beautiful ways, which makes him the perfect artist for this project.

The collection has a combination of statement and staple pieces, all in beautiful fall hues of blue, tan, gray, and black. Some stand-out pieces include the Casey nylon patch bomber jacket and the Finn Collage jacquard shirt, which both have patterns of Tal R’s drawings. The bomber has green, blue, and red patches on the back, making for a fun surprise, while the jacquard shirt has similar drawings checked across the whole jacket in a gray hue, with brown and red stripes down the sleeves. The motifs from Tal R resemble faces and dominoes and add a twist to the jackets that isn’t found in most fall clothing. Another jacket with patterns from Tal R is the Cowel Vogi jacket, which includes X and dot-like designs for a ski-wear look. The collection also includes the Emma Paris chic sweater, which has white stripes that almost look tie-dyed and provide a simpler option. All sweaters with Tal R’s design also include a tag with the words “Same Old Phonenumb.”

Wood Wood also included some of their own pieces, such as jeans, twill jackets and trousers, and shearling jackets. The collection also has beautiful Coogi knits, made of colorful designs in vertical stripes. They have a blue and black Coogi knit jumper, as well as Coogi knit vests and skirts that may just be the standouts of the collection. The pieces have quintessential fall colors, from burgundy red to sunny orange and pine and light green. The colors absolutely pop against a white sweater and make for such a unique but wearable fall outfit.

This collection puts a twist on the typical fall patterns and sweaters. Tal R’s art takes the collection to the next level. The pieces are currently available on Wood Wood’s

 website.
