Blumarine's Pre-Fall 2022 Collection Is Pretty In Pink
If this were the early 2000s, Paris Hilton would have definitely sported the collection on the red carpet.
Blumarine is constantly fueling our Y2K fantasies; therefore, it’s no surprise that the Pre-Fall 2022 collection is taking us back to a time of pink fuzzy handbags and low-rise jeans. Previewing the collection, creative director Nicola Brognano is putting the most iconic years “back on the map” with his latest lineup of pink ‘fits.
The collection mostly consists of infamous Y2K silhouettes such as long knit cardigans, statement fur coats and low-rise cargo pants. With the occasional flower decal, skinny scarf and fuzzy handbag, the series of items have transformed the introverted “Blumarine girl” into someone “who wants to get out of the house,” according to Brognano. (An exciting collection = an exciting customer.)
As a result, the Pre-Fall 2022 collection is a reflection of Brognano staying on top of trends — refusing to repeat himself. “I hate when designers keep repeating themselves,” Brognano told Vogue. “It doesn’t excite me in the least.”
