Blumarine’s Fall/Winter Collection Inspired By Y2K Nostalgia
The 2000s have a roaring comeback with Blumarine’s Paris Hilton and Britney Spears inspired collection.
Blumarine’s Fall/Winter ‘21 collection left fans infatuated with what they saw. A twist on the traditional digital fashion show, Blumarine had models lounging in a glammed out pink bedroom, straight to strutting on the runway. The captivating strut of the models showcased major fashion trends from the 2000s, while still serving modern, yet elegant looks.
Paris Hilton and Britney Spears were known for their eye-catching looks circa early 2000s—the low rise pants, the itty-bitty dresses and mini skirts, knee high boots, followed by fur accents on jackets and purses to match. All of these fashion staples, worn by our fashion icons, are presented with elevated and updated takes on the looks, in this Fall/Winter ‘21 collection.
The symbol of a butterfly is seen flying throughout the collection, with a bedazzled appearance. Model Remington Williams, floats along the catwalk in a lavender, sheer sweater with blue fur accents. The lavender is complemented by bell-bottom floral print pants. The butterfly lands a home gently laying on her neck as well as fashioned onto a pink belt—snatching her waist. This is just an example of one of the many daring styles in this current collection.
The color palette is that of fierce pinks and stone cold blues, with muted beiges and yellows to compliment the statement colors. The fabrics are a world full of surprises, with looks featuring everything from fur to sheer, or fabrics with a thicker consistency. A touch of 2000s style for any occasion.
