Bladee Creates A Colorful Capsule Collection For Heaven By Marc Jacobs
The artist teams up with the internet’s favorite fashion label.
Heaven by Marc Jacobs continues to dominate the internet’s alternative fashion scene, now teaming up with artist Bladee for a drop of ethereal designs. Benjamin Reichwald, also known as Bladee, is a Swedish musician and member of Drain Gang. Reichwald first collaborated with Heaven by Marc Jacobs in 2021, when the artist posed for the label’s lookbook. The creative duo now returns a year later, with Reichwald moving behind the camera and into the design space, producing a Spring 2022 capsule collection.
The collection, made of nine pieces, draws on the many platforms of Reichwald’s creative expression, including music, fashion, and painting. Vivid colors and patterns splash across an oversized sweater and puffer vest, while artwork pops against a white background in a baby tee and hoodie set. Other clothing pieces include ripped jeans, but accessories complete the collection. Hot pink pops up in a striped beanie and dainty hair bows, and jewelry includes a “Reaper” necklace and “Bones” bracelet.
A campaign captures the collection’s striking style. Musical artist Baby Sosa, French musician Oklou, and creative West Adler modeled the garments in the Los Angeles shoot. Hendrik Schneider photographed the campaign, and Reichwald styled his designs.
“[Bladee’s] artwork… looks inward to recreate dreamscapes and their subliminal meaning,” said a description on the Heaven by Marc Jacobs website. “The result is a captivating, emotional, and hugely inspirational body of work.”
