Axel Arigato Turns Sidewalks Into Stages With Footnotes

Sneakers, music, and city vibes.

POSTED BY ZOE TYLER

Axel Arigato just dropped a campaign that feels less like an ad and more like stumbling across a street jam on a summer night. Footnotes is all about music, movement, and sneakers in action — no sterile studios, just city corners alive with drummers, dancers, and the kind of energy that makes you stop and stay a while.

Sneakers in Motion

The lineup is basically a greatest-hits album: Dice in new colorways, Clean 90 doing its timeless thing, Clay reimagined in unisex sizing, Slow Runner in dreamy pastels, and Orbit with its chunky, retro vibes. Each pair gets its own little performance moment — not on a runway, but in the rhythm of the street.

Guerrilla Gigs, City Vibes

Instead of keeping it digital, Arigato is taking Footnotes IRL with surprise shows outside their flagship stores in London, Paris, and Berlin this summer. Think guerrilla gigs, genre-blurring musicians, and movement artists turning the pavement into a stage. Totally free, totally unpredictable, and designed for anyone passing by to be part of it.

Community at the Core

At the end of the day, by weaving sound, style, and public space into one messy, beautiful collision, Arigato is reminding everyone that creativity doesn’t belong behind velvet ropes. It’s in the beat, the shuffle, the scuff of sneakers hitting the ground.
