Acne Studios is once again diving into the enchanted world of the Moomins, unveiling its second capsule collection in collaboration with the beloved characters created by Finnish artist and author Tove Jansson. Launching for Fall/Winter 2025, this 16-piece unisex drop fuses Acne’s signature minimalism with the offbeat charm of Moominvalley — a universe known for its magic, mischief, and message of peace.
This latest collection brings back key figures like Little My, Snorkmaiden, Stinky, and the Hattifatteners, this time across a spirited palette of acid yellow, baby pink, and bold monochromes. Designed for the expressive and effortlessly cool, the capsule includes everything from Acne’s cult 1981 jeans to oversized shirting, T-shirts, and cozy knits, all brought to life with animated prints, graphic patches, and playful details.
Nostalgia Meets Nordic Cool
What sets this drop apart is its invitation to play. Customisation reigns supreme: removable metal Moomin patches snap onto classic lace-up sneakers, while charm-laden keyrings and Face-logo accents add signature Acne flair. Every piece is a nod to Jansson’s enduring message of individuality, community, and curiosity — a philosophy that has kept the Moomins relevant since their 1945 debut.
Originally launched in November 2024, Acne’s collaboration with the Moomins was born from a shared Scandinavian ethos and an admiration for Jansson’s utopian storytelling. The first book, The Moomins and the Great Flood, has since inspired everything from animated series to feature films — and now, a cult fashion moment for the second season running.
