Acne Studios X Jonathan Lyndon Chase: Art, Denim, And Domestic Tenderness In Soho
Art exhibition & capsule collection.
Acne Studios turned its Greene Street flagship into a full-on art space, continuing its dynamic collaboration with Philadelphia-based artist Jonathan Lyndon Chase just in time for Frieze New York 2025. What began last September as a scenographic takeover for Acne’s SS25 womenswear show now expands into something more immersive — a curated exhibition and capsule drop that bridges home, body, and expression.
Greene Street transformed into a soft, subverted living space—part installation, part gallery, fully wrapped in Chase’s tender, energetic world. The visual language is unmistakable: sculptural riffs on lamps and radios, abstract portraits of friends and lovers, and intuitive gestures that explore Black subjectivity, queerness, and domestic intimacy.
The Collection:
Launched alongside the exhibit is the “Acne Studios Loves Jonathan Lyndon Chase” capsule — a limited run of expressive, illustrated pieces that live somewhere between wardrobe and home.
-
A reimagined pair of ‘1981’ jeans,
-
Short- and long-sleeved T-shirts,
-
Cushions and a blanket,
-
And a near-illusion of denim across soft fabrics — all marked by Chase’s signature style.
There’s even a twist on Acne Studios’ iconic bow motif, reframed through Chase’s artistic lens.
Where to Find It:
The capsule dropped exclusively at Acne Studios Greene Street, NYC, with a global release hitting selected stores and AcneStudios.com in late June 2025.
