A Foodie In New Orleans

What to eat in a day when visiting the most haunted city in America.

POSTED BY SOPHIE CLARK

New Orleans is a haven for any foodie, so much so that one day almost isn't enough. But we've narrowed it down to the places you have to go if you're strapped for time.

Café Du Monde

Starting the day strong with beignets, nothing more than this pastry and where else to get it than the iconic New Orleans joint Café Du Monde. The Café served as inspiration for Disney's The Princess and the Frog, and has been on the bucket list of foodies all over the world forever.

Turkey and the Wolf

For lunch a somewhat less iconic spot, but equally as tasty, Turkey and the Wolf. An award-nominated sandwich place, serving sandwiches inspired by classic southern comfort food. They'll leave you full for your day exploring the city.

Drip Affogato Bar NOLA

New Orleans is Hot, so you'll need to cool down with some ice cream. We can't think of anywhere better to do so than Drip Affogato Bar NOLA. They are a combination ice cream and cocktail bar, letting you get a little boozy while you cool down.

 Clancy's Restaurant

After experiencing both French and Southern influences on the New Orleans food scene, you need to experience the Creole cuisine that grew from the cultural melting pot that the city is. Clancy's Restaurant serves elevated Creole classics in a space that shows the best of what the city has to offer.
