A Complete Rundown of Savage X Fenty Vol 2 Show
The latest season of Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty collection of intimates and loungewear shows sexy is for all.
Rihanna always brings it when it comes to pushing fashion boundaries and ever since dropping Savage X Fenty, she has gone from strength to strength, cementing herself as a household name in the industry. While sexual liberation and empowerment take centre stage for the brand, inclusivity is what lies at the heart of each of Rih’s projects and the Savage X Fenty Vol. 2 show is no exception.
Rihanna tapped a lengthy roster of talent to showcase Savage X Fenty’s latest collection for her second show with Amazon. Despite its sophomore status, Savage X Fenty shows have already achieved icon-status with last year’s show achieving industry-wide acclaim with its action-packed, celebrity models, intricate sets and tantalizing choreography.
Longtime collaborators Parris Goebel and Willo Perron were brought onboard once again to serve some fresh choreography, while trusted hairstylist Yusef Williams was behind the sickening dos donned on the catwalk. Glistening pasties, body jewels and theatrical makeup elevated each look making them more head-turning than ever in a rainbow of colorways for every vibe from playful romantic to savage seductress.
The all-star lineup featured Willow Smith, Big Sean, Cara Delevingne, Normani and Bella Hadid who headed up a black satin, leather and lace clad swarm of models including Demi Moore, Indya Moore and Drag Race season 12 winner Jaida Essence Hall who strutted to N.E.R.D.’s “She Wants to Move.”
Another highlight saw Lizzo put on a sultry performance in a dance solo to D’Angelo’s “Brown Sugar” performed in front of a mirror – boudoir style. Bad Bunny, Ella, Mai, Miguel, Mustard, Roddy Ricch, Rosalía and Travis Scott gave live musical performances, each handpicked for their special fit with the Savage x Fenty vibe. Other cameos included Chika, Margie Plus, Rico Nasty, Precious Lee and Soo Joo Park.
The show’s finale celebrated a roster of reality TV icons Erika Jayne and Paris Hilton who served her classic hot-pink-barbie noughties aesthetic, along with Drag Race royalty Shea Couleé and Gigi Goode who dazzled in a lacy sapphire number, offset by netted stockings.
