SZA’s New Song Is About Believing In The Good Days
Going into 2021 with the past behind us.
Following the September release of ‘Hit Different’, SZA continues her return to music with new track ‘Good Days,’ featuring London based singer, Jacob Collier.
Originally teased towards the end of ‘Hit Different,’ the release of ‘Good Days’ comes alongside an acoustic performance from SZA’s home that combines the two tracks.
On the track, SZA sings about letting go of things that have weighed her down in the past, and shifting her focus to the good days in the present.
Fans are still eagerly awaiting the follow up album to 2017’s CTRL. In 2019, SZA mentioned that she’d been working with the likes of Post Malone and Brockhampton and that the album would be coming ‘soon as fuck,’ but at the start of 2020 she hinted that it would be released later in the year.
Since then, she has tweeted and deleted that the album was delayed by her label, but after worried fans started the hashtag #FREESZA, she said “Don’t nobody need to free me. Lmao I’m not being held hostage n neither is my music!! Sometimes u gotta be patient… sometimes no is a blessing… I trust the ppl around me.”
Next up, following in SZA's footsteps we take a look at the good things that have happened in 2020.
