3 Ways to Wear this Trending Spring Color
We’re Looking Buttery!
Pastel tones and floral hues might be cliches for Spring, but the way we might wear them can vary every few seasons. As the models in New York sail down the runway for SS25, butter yellow tones are the hue that keeps popping up the most. It’s delicate, and creamy, and gives a burst of hope to any outfit. Better yet, it’s one of the few variations of yellow that work on most skin tones. As we approach this season’s ‘it’ color, here are the main ways to wear it.
1. Color block it
Take a page from the fashion brand, Tibi, and work butter yellow into certain patterns or color-blocked outfits. This is a great way to add small doses of the hue if you’re unsure about it and keep the item going season after season.
2. Appliques
Combining two Spring trends Simkhai and Who Decides War opted to use butter-yellow tones in the appliques of their clothing. This, like color blocking, is a great way to sample the trend without trying too hard. And appliques? We’re also seeing them everywhere!
3. Go all in
If you know yellow is your color (lucky you!), go all in with a monochrome look in this tone. Come Spring, you should be able to find outfit sets in this tone a-plenty. If you’re still stuck, look to Ulla Johnson for direction.
