2025 Grammys Fashion: The Red Carpet Looks Shaping This Year’s Biggest Trends
How our favourite celeb outfits hint at upcoming trends.
The hottest names in the music industry arrived in Los Angeles on the 2nd of February to celebrate the annual Grammy Awards Ceremony. Hundreds of A-list celebrities were invited to receive awards, support their fellow artists, and strut their stuff on the iconic Grammys red carpet. Such an event calls for spectacular outfits that scream, "Strike a pose!".
Sabrina Carpenter
Sabrina Carpenter, who ruled the music charts last summer with the immense success of her single ‘Espresso’ and other tracks from her newest album, ‘Short n’ Sweet’, went home with her first two Grammy Awards. The 2025 winner of best ‘Pop Vocal Album' and ‘Pop Solo Performance’ stunned everyone in a gorgeous, powder blue, backless, satin dress. Styled by Jared Ellner, she served modern elegance, but with a hint of retro with luxurious feather trimmings, alongside an eye-catching pendant worn on her back that mirrors a look sported by Shirley MacLaine in 1964.
Returning to the baby blue she wore so beautifully, it’s definitely a colour to make room for in your wardrobe. You can never go wrong wearing a pretty pastel, right? Benson Boone was also seen wearing a baby blue jumpsuit during his performance. All shades of light blue are rumoured to feature in 2025 fashion trends. Charli XCX, who took home three trophies, also impressed us with a grey-blue, ruffled gown.
Sailor Aesthetic
The rise of this colour, along with deeper shades of blue, may forecast the incoming ‘Sailor Aesthetic’ setting sail this summer. Numerous spring and summer collections created by highly reputable designers have been seen to feature blue, black, and white, and lots of stripes. That’s right — stripes are making a comeback in 2025 as a key feature of sailor chic designs.
Billie Eilish
Billie Eilish rocked the Grammys red carpet in a minimalist black and white fit designed by Prada. But we cannot ignore the statement piece that is her black sailor’s hat. Is this something that we’ll see more of this year? I guess we’ll have to wait and sea!
